Allegheny-Kiski Health Foundation
is challenging our communities!

The Allegheny-Kiski Health Foundation is beginning to challenge regions across the Alle-Kiski Valley to improve the health, wellness and quality of life of its communities through the new “Community Challenge Grant program.” The goal of the initiative is to encourage community members to take an active role in the improvement of their region through the development of awareness and educational programs on any aspect of health, wellness and quality of life.

Over the next three years, the AKH Foundation plans to introduce the Community Challenge Grant initiative in regions throughout the Alle-Kiski Valley. Each region will be responsible for setting its own Challenge Goals and must work to achieve them in a set period of time.

As regions of the Alle-Kiski Valley are selected for the Community Challenge Grant initiative, and are successful in implementing the Challenge programs, they will be awarded a $25,000 grant from the AKH Foundation. The grant funds are to be used to initiate future health & wellness education and similar programs.
