Tips on Keeping Healthy During Seasonal Changes

 

1. Drink Plenty of Water. There is less moisture in the air during the Fall and Winter. Hydrating your body can prevent cracks on the skin and get rid of toxins in your system.

2. Boost Your Immune System. During cold and flu season, you can boost your immune system by eating raw fruits and vegetables that contain various vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals. Vitamin C is an important vitamin and antioxidant that the body uses to keep you strong and healthy. Most citrus fruits contain high levels of vitamin C.

3. Always Eat Food in Season. In Fall and Winter, turn toward warming foods which include carrots, sweet potatoes, onions and garlic.

4. Commit to Exercise. Don't let the cold weather stop you from moving.
