Outright
Gifts
Oftentimes outright gifts are the easiest way to provide charitable
support. In addition to cash, valuable items of personal property
can be donated including automobiles, collectibles, jewelry, real
estate, stocks & bonds, etc. In many cases the item's appreciated
value is tax deductible.
Charitable
Bequests
Charitable bequest is the term used when one has named a charity
in their last will and testament. Charitable bequests are easy to
make and can be made in a variety of forms:
- A specific
dollar amount.
- A certain
percentage of your estate.
- A specific
piece of personal property
- A residual
amount after others have been provided for.
Charitable
Gift Annuities
Charitable gift annuities are irrevocable contracts between the
donor and a charity which include an annuity to the donor and a
charitable gift to the charity. Charitable gift annuities enable
the donor to make a gift to the Allegheny-Kiski Health Foundation,
while still realizing benefits such as:
- A guaranteed
annuity payment for the rest of the donor's life (or the life
of another person).
- An immediate
income tax deduction.
- A portion
of the annual annuity income can be tax free income.
- Partial capital
gains tax relief.
Memorial
and Honor Gift Program
- The Foundation's
popular Memorial and Honor Gift Program is an excellent way to
show your affection and respect for loved ones.
- Your contribution
will be used to help improve the health & wellness of the
community.
- You will
receive a prompt acknowledgment from the Foundation.
- The individual,
or their family, that you honored or memorialized will receive
a prompt letter informing them that you have made a gift.
- The gift
amount is never revealed.
- Your name
and the name of the person that you honored or memorialized will
appear in the Foundation's newsletter.
