HESA Scholarship

 HESA Scholarship

In an effort to bolster the dwindling ranks of young volunteer firefighters in our local communities and throughout Western Pennsylvania, the Highlands Emergency Services Alliance (HESA) successfully implemented a firefighting/emergency services training program at Highlands High School during regular school hours. The 36-week HESA curriculum is based on the Delmar Essentials of Firefighting Course and is the first in the state and possibly the nation. The HESA Scholarship Program recognizes up to two students annually, who have completed the HESA curriculum and are graduating seniors who plan on further their education after high school.

2016 HESA Scholarship Recipients

Jarett Jones majoring in Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh

Deanna Webb is majoring in Nursing at Duquesne University.
